Cold stone wall blues

Many years ago, some friends and I were travelling by car on pre 'M' roads, heading along the Pennines to Newcastle. It was a misty winters day and after some time one of our friends sighed "these cold stone walls could give you the blues". I was recently playing around with some chords when suddenly his words popped into my head and the song developed into "Cold stone wall blues". Thanks for listening, Steve.

  1. With the song title I was expecting a traditional blues number but this goes far beyond that, of course. This is very well produced, catchy, but still allowing the great lyrics to take centre stage. ‘When you’re full of drink but still sober, when you’re full of pain but you don’t hurt’ is a great lyric I can relate to! Cheers.

  2. Great song, great arrangement. Some excellent lines in there – ‘when your eyes no longer see danger that’s when life has lost it’s worth’ ‘When you’re full of drink but still sober, when you’re full of pain but you don’t hurt’ Tidy
