Ball And Chain
Here is my response to this month’s #countrychallenge a co-write with Graham Buxton it’s not brand new, but we’ve seriously reworked/reimagined it for this challenge. Not a complex narrative, but hey it’s country. I hope you like it.

Simple, direct, well played, recorded and delivered. The whole package there Steve. Good job!
Lovely song. Some nice chord moves and harmonies.
nice mellow country style – good one
I do like it! It has a very warm feel to it. Great vocals and harmonies, and some nifty chord changes. Excellent stuff, Steve.
Ooh! Is that a Gretsch with a nifty Bigsby? Lovely sound, as ever, Steve, and a smooth country feel with some beautiful chord changes in there. Always classy on every level, whatever the genre 💜🎶🤠.
I just knew that if you entered you’d do a great country song… and you have, of course. Apart from it being a wonderful song, your guitar playing is really great (and it’s a lovely guitar – I’m envious!). Keep it country, mate!
Comments elsewhere Steve but a vote from me!
Nice one yet again Steve. Great sound and I’m loving that Gretsch
Lovely song Steve.
I’m a fan! Another great song and some fab lyrics. Gets my vote
Enjoyed this Steve. Impressed you carried the analogy all the way through. Interesting chord shifts and fab arrangement as always.
That’s a gem Steve. That could be on any country-pop record of the 60’s & 70’s, superb.
Another fab song and performance!
Great song. I loved the chord changes.
