Back To The Water
#departuresandarrivalschallenge
This is “Back To The Water”. It’s not a political song but a rumination on how we might dread those arriving on our shores who have lost everything and have no power but at the same time tolerate those amongst (or above us) who have the power to do real damage. So maybe a bit political ?. Please excuse length and rawness of recording as it’s a one take and could do with more practice but have to get with other stuff now.
Another great track. I really like your writing/playing style. As I’ve said before reminds me of the energy Jake Bug brings. When’s the album coming out?
Hi mate, Love the energy, and nothing wrong about political – I am still fuming after todays budget debacle, if this carries on we will be the ones sailing small boats in the opposite direction from Britain. I think the rawness is a strength of the song, makes it sound angrier. Great stuff. Just one thing, be nice if you could include the lyrics. Cheers, Phil
Great energy and drive in this, loved it.
You inject energy & conviction into all your songs, Alan, and this is no exception. Great guitar playing as ever! ??
Very good. Wish I could keep my guitar going that long lol x lovely sentiment too x
Another cracking song Alan.
Quite a different vibe! Great pace (I wish I could strum with such confidence and good effect). Enjoyed that.
Another cracker Alan. The drive and conviction you convey is clear – whether you think you need more practice or not. Really enjoyed it.
Great drive, energy. I like political songs. They have substance, like this one.
This song makes me want to get upband jump around – bloody brilliant!!
