A Country with No Name

Another rare entry for the monthly challenge, especially as I perform this one live to camera (with a nice video effect). I wrote this song a few weeks ago (convenient given this month’s prompt). It’s just a simple perspective of a world in crisis and empathy with those fleeing conflict, repression and disaster.

  1. The rhythmic piano chords remind me of slow, weary footsteps along the long road you mention. Real heart-tugging sadness, Bernard. I was moved by the idea of not even knowing the name of the country where they could eventually find a home.
