What is Talent Is Timeless?
Talent Is Timeless is the world’s largest songwriting community for people over 50, with over 28,000 members worldwide. We offer weekly live events, monthly song challenges, and annual contests, plus retreats and courses. Our mission is simple: to celebrate creativity later in life and give hobbyist songwriters a place to be heard.
Who is this contest for?
This contest is exclusively for songwriters aged 50 and above. Whether you’ve been writing songs for decades or just started recently, this is your chance to share your music and connect with like-minded peers.
Do I have to be a professional?
Not at all! Most of our members are hobbyists or retired amateurs. You don’t need to be famous, have a record deal, or even perform live — just a love of songwriting.
How much does it cost to enter?
The Popular Contest is completely free to enter. If you’d like to increase your odds and a chance at an industry mentoring prize, you can choose to upgrade to the Pro Contest. Both contests have a $500 prize each plus a $100 engagement prize for the person who comments & votes the most.
What your AI policy?
We are supportive of people who use AI to create songs and we have a dedicated social group for our premium members to share their songs. However, in the USA Popular & Pro contests, we do not allow AI to be used in the entries at all.
How does the voting work?
Votes are ‘all or nothing’ – meaning you either vote for a song or you don’t (not grades, stars or scores). We encourage you to leave a kind comment for every song whether or not you voted for it.
Is this safe and legitimate?
Yes. Talent Is Timeless has run international songwriting contests for 5 years, with tens of thousands of participants. We are committed to transparency, fairness, and celebrating creativity. Your songs are always yours — we never claim rights over your music.
