Do the visions you claim that define you
Still carry your dreams of success?
As the future you planned
And the years turn to sand,
Now with love in your life, do you long, nonetheless?
Are you thinking again of the choices you’ve made?
Distant echoes remind you of the price you’ve paid.

Will you still smile, as I serve your breakfast in bed?
Do you cry for the road less travelled instead?
Will you still smile?

The rising tide of destiny flows in, unforgiving.
Despite or because of the roles that we’re living.
It sweeps us away.

Late at night in the candlelight flickering,
You escape to the tales of the few
Who dared to be great.
Is it really too late?
Or is living in shadows sufficient for you?
When I gaze in your eyes, has the fire been chilled?
Is the depth that I see a void unfulfilled?

Will you still smile years from now on the memories we’ll make?
Or will you lie awake thinking it was all a mistake?
Or will you still smile?
Will you still smile?
Will you still smile?
