Lyrics

We ran wild in the streets
when anarchy ruled
we stayed out all night
played a mean game of pool

When music was life
we bounced around in the pit
we took all the drugs
and we loved getting lit

But now walking with friends
the conversation has changed
who got a new hip
who got a new knee
a fall and a trip
cataract surgery

and now talking with friends
the conversation has changed
about family we lost
our aches our pains
friends that are gone
their memories remain

we ate whatever we wanted
survived on 2 hours sleep
before responsibility
before we were in too deep

We ran wild in the streets
now it hurts just walking up stairs.
but we ain’t dead yet
still breathing the fresh air

We ran wild in the streets
We ran wild in the streets
