Lyrics

He’s leaving town in the morning, on a freight train
he’s making his way down to lonesome town.
She told him, she was leaving him for another
and now he knows why they call him, the lonesome clown.

Chorus
The lonesome clown, does,nt have any feelings
he just fools around and makes people laugh.
He ain’t got no love, he’s got no emotions
all he’s got is heart that’s broken in half.

Every night he just sits there by the firelight
waiting for the flames to fade and die.
While the other tramps laugh and joke and fool around
the lonsome clown just hangs his head and cry.

Repeat chorus
