My father had dementia at the end of his life but he was gracious, kind, loving, to everyone and he knew I belonged. It was a gift from God.

Bio

I was in the music business for 40 years as a session player, performer, song writer, producer, engineer and studio owner… ran a couple of independent record labels for a short time. I was never (or wanted to be) an artist although I have performed a lot as a singer songwriter.

Lyrics

Remember Me
by: Mark H Chesshir

My minds not as clear as it used to be
I’m forgetting more each day
It scares me more that i may not see
and know your face should you come to be with me

I understand that this may come
losing all that I have loved
But I will fight oh I won’t run
and I’ll pray that when my time is done

You’ll remember I have loved you more
and given you the deepest part of me
Remember I never hid my heart
It was yours right from the start
Remember me..

Should I be taken before this time
I’d consider it a gift from God
To know that you wouldn’t have to cry
to know you wouldn’t have to look through hollow eyes

Chorus

The fear of losing who I am and wondering what I’d become
And not knowing when I look in your eyes that I’d know that you belong
Keep your heart right next to mine and remember we once loved
