Lyrics

POSITIVITY
By Matthew Caleb Flamm

don’t try to
say anything to me
cuz I’m
livid as I can be
there’s something wrong with
your positivity

I know I’m negative as hell
prone to depression as well
and just to add this one more thing

I don’t like to
sing those pretty songs that people sing
just cuz they’re scared of the dark
i don’t wanna be a lover with a paper heart
covered with a question mark
making you wonder all the same
whether this thing’s a game

I don’t like to sing those pretty songs
that people sing
so they can hide from the dark

I don’t wanna be a painter with horsehair brush
colors clean and edges flush

making you wonder what I feel
whether this thing is real

(Repeat opening to end)
