Lyrics
verse 1
perhaps its Emily it maybe maybelline
I like the sound to me, its similar to your name
facts get in the way of memories
we met in Wembley, Stanmore or Battersea
either way things were never the same to me
like lies and apologies
chorus
you took me by my unloved hand and took me to wonderland
it might have been
Portsmouth or Dundee it was all the same to me…
verse 2
Perhaps its Dorothy it might be Ebony they sound the same to me
the names get so mixed up in my brain, they all sound the same like memories
We met in Camberly lipbrook or Tennessee either way things were never the same
bra straps and barbed wire
Chorus
verse 3
You were my destiny you meant that much to me, then you abandoned me because didn’t know your name like Khrushchev and Kennedy
you left in your car a Citroen or jaguar lt might be by plane or horse or horse with a handbag you didn’t think you were..
