Lyrics
OUT OF TIME
She pulls the shades down
All torn and tattered
The boy walks away
Along with all that mattered
She falls on her knees
Begging please
Lord send me an angel
The kind I can see
CHORUS:
Catch me I’m falling
How long until I hit the ground
Don’t you hear me I’m calling
Do I even make a sound
Don’t you know that every heart that breaks
Has a song left to sing
Every blast of winter
Has just a touch of spring
She’s all out of nothin’
For the reason to rhyme
She says, “I got to have something,
I’m all out of time”
She falls to the bottom
And breaks right through
She’s made this climb before
But doesn’t know what to do
She’s down on her knees
Begging, somebody please
God where is my angel
Did you forget about me?
CHORUS
Bridge:
It’s the ones that love you
That hurt you the most
They’ll walk right through you
Like you’re some kind of ghost
Tired of all the pain
Tired of all the hurt
Tired of feeling worthless
Like some useless cup of dirt
I wanna be someone
So I’m starting with me
Tell the man in the mirror,
“Boy, get get a load of me”
She’s all out of nothin’
For the reason to rhyme
She says, “I got to have something,
I’m all out of time”
She pulls the shades down
All torn and tattered
The boy walks away
Along with all that mattered
