Description

I took a corporate position as a risk manager at a psychiatric facility after being a nurse for many years. I then realized that working up to 80 hours a week on a salary to keep the CEO in the green wasn’t worth my well being.

Bio

I am 58 years old and hail from Northern California. I now reside in the resort town of Stuart Florida. I am married with no children
I started playing music later in life and now spend as much time as possible (which isn’t enough) performing open mics, playing in a cover band, writing original songs, and recording in my home studio. My influences are varied but include classic rock, new wave, alternative, punk, ska, reggae, and anything experimental.

Lyrics

No Remorse

I stared at the sun and I lost my sight,
I tried to force something that wasn’t right
And now I find myself trying to re-align,
Even if it kills my credit line

I did what I did to try and get ahead
Found out I killed my soul instead
Now I’ve gotten back to what makes sense
I certainly don’t need no chemical defense

Sometimes you have to veer off course,
Get off that ride with no remorse yeah

Sometimes you have to change your mind,
Dwelling in hell won’t calm the tide

I’ve been to hell and I’ve read the signs
Work till you die for other’s designs
50, 60, 70 hours a week
I tell you brother that forecast is bleak

I starred at the sun and I lost my sight
I tried to force something that wasn’t right
Now I’ve got back my vision to see things through
Time to keep promises I made to you

Sometimes you have to veer off course,
Get off that ride with no remorse, yeah

I did what I did to try and get ahead,
Above all the crazy for the sake of love
Now I’ve gotten back to what makes sense,
I refuse to die because I’m always tense
Yeah…
