Description

Having viewed the AI Category on the website I decided I needed to write all of the song lyrics as I wanted it to work on 2 levels and I didn’t think any AI programme would be able to do that. Although a blues/rock guitarist taught me how to play acoustic guitar over 30 years ago, and I’ve written many songs since starting to write during Covid lockdown 5 years ago, my guitar playing skills are fairly basic and I’ve never actually written a blues song !! I’m not a singer and was worried that I might need to load a recording of me playing/singing my blues track on my acoustic guitar to start things off with AI but after much trial and error I realised I could actually ‘coach’ AI to provide exactly what I was looking for ( and at a level way above any skills I have on guitar/vocally ). It took me several hours to work my way through the song structure etc one section at a time and sometimes one line at a time and although the result isn’t in any way perfect it’s very close to what I had in my head at outset.

Lyrics

Never Too Late To Rise
[verse]
When the stormclouds gather ‘round me
It’s time to think things thru
Got so many years behind me
So many roads to choose
[verse]
When they say I shouldn’t try it
Should take the easy road
I’ll start a new adventure
Don’t care about the load
[chorus]
Gonna face up to my demons
Have a go try not to fall
Gonna walk thru walls and fences
‘Til I overcome them all
When I look into the mirror
‘N stare into my eyes
I’ll smile at my endeavour
‘Cos it’s never too late to rise
Never too late to rise
[verse]
Deep inside I feel the fire
Gonna fan the flames
Know they’ll take me higher
I’ll never be the same
[chorus & outro]
Gonna face up to my demons
Have a go try not to fall
Gonna walk thru walls and fences
‘Til I overcome them all
When I look into the mirror
‘N stare into my eyes
I’ll smile at my endeavour
‘Cos it’s never too late to rise
Never too late to rise
Never too late to rise
Never too late to rise
It’s never too late to rise
