Bio

Kerry Dunker, Northwest Kansas native, made his professional music debut in 1987 with Donnie East, as the drummer. He continued drumming with Texaz Fludd, Rope, Power Players, Selby-Dunker Band, and Dementia for the next 34 years. During this time Kerry deepened his skills as a recording artist, producer and sound mixer, recording and releasing his own album under the name Flatland Rock. During this time, he performed all vocals, guitar, bass, and drum parts (with the exception of one track), creating the feel of a full band performance. After drumming professionally for 25 years, Kerry stepped into the acoustic world playing solo in 2012 at a talent show in his hometown, discovering his love of music extended beyond the rhythm section. Kerry continues to drum and is always on the lookout for new opportunities. When he is not performing or creating music, Kerry is an energy worker, husband, grandfather and traveler.

Lyrics

It’s been a long time.
It’s been a long time coming.
I’ve been waiting…
For what?
Walk to the river
I dipped my toe in
It felt so good, I put my foot in

Making a change In the river.
Cleansing my soul on the water
Making a change in the river, make it across to change my life.

I’m jumping in.
To be aware.
of who I truly am
The current’s surging
And it is deep.
None to lose.
And all to gain

Making a change in the river aware of myself in the water
Making a change in the river.
Making sure I go down feet first
