Bio

Lyrics

LADY MARIANNA
Hark all you young bachelors who bide in this land
Pray be on your guard, you must make a stand
There’s a Lady so fair with golden spun hair
Of her beauty they often have spoken
And she’ll win your heart but then tear it apart
And give it back trampled and broken

To all you deceived, taken in by her charms
And her deadly love potions that only bring harm
You’re enchanted, enrapt, in her web you’re soon trapped
And there’s no man who is an exception
On love’s carousel, she’ll bewitch you with spells
And her well-rehearsed evil deception.

Oh she likes the dance and she craves the chase
But soon she’ll grow weary of your face
For she moves with the seasons and leaves with no trace
The Lady Marianna
The Lady Marianna

She’s a lady of lies, stops at nowt for her prize
She changes her name and her cloaks of disguise
Yet no man enquires ‘bout her different attire
First a Countess, then a Lady in Waiting
Then a Baroness, a Duchess – dressed to impress
When she’s really a humble hand maiden.

Oh she likes the dance and she craves the chase
But soon she’ll grow weary of your face
For she moves with the seasons and leaves with no trace
The Lady Marianna
The Lady Marianna

So to all you young bachelors who bide in this land
Pray be prudent when asking for a fair maiden’s hand
For a slip of a lass born of such humble class
Could pose as a blue-blooded Lady
And for better or worse, you’ll be plagued by her curse
And ensnared by her methods so shady.
