Bio

Biography
Music entered Patrick Therrien’s life at a very young age. By the age of four, he was already singing alongside his father at family gatherings. Together, they shared the stage in various ways: singing, playing the flute, and drums, notably within the choir where his father was a member. His passion for percussion quickly became evident, and at thirteen, he began private drum lessons, leading him to perform in several bands with diverse styles.
He pursued his musical studies at the Cégep de Sherbrooke and later at Laval University, where he earned a degree in music education.
At the age of twenty-five, Patrick Therrien began his professional career as a musician and composer. After a long career teaching music, he retired from schools in 2017. Since 2015, he has focused on Native-style flutes, performing throughout Quebec, Ontario, and even in France. Today, at 62 years old, his passion for music remains as strong as ever.
