Bio

Jola Recchioni was born in Poland and lives now in London, UK. Jola is a new, independent blues and blues rock artist who burst into the music scene in 2022 and is quickly growing her following among the lovers of blues rock. She started writing, composing and recording her songs only last year when she released her first solo album Wrongtime. “I wanted to be a bit defiant when selecting the name for the album: I wanted to shout out that life will lead us onto various paths but it is never too late to follow your passions. I think that message of defiance, of finding strength and hope is often present in my songs.” The album consists of twelve songs, the majority of which have both music and lyrics written by Jola Recchioni. A few songs are either a music or lyrics collaboration with other songwriters. Jola Recchioni says: “I wanted my songs to be firmly rooted in the traditional blues but give them a more rockier and edgier side”. Jola’s second album Gone To Find My Blues was released 6 Dec 24 and she is now recording songs for her third album due for release in spring of 2025. Watch this space!

Lyrics

Baby Blue, Baby Blue
Standing in the door
What you gonna do?
Crying those big tears
Looking so small
It ain’t the place for you
Honey go home!

I know what I’m saying
I saw it all
He says he loves you
He doesn’t mean it, no
His kisses are hot
His touch electrifying
You fall in love
And then he starts lying!

You followed him here
You saw them kissing
Girl, he ain’t worth it
It’s not you he’s missing
Well now you know!
It ain’t the place for you
Honey go home!

I know what I’m saying
I saw it all
He says he loves you
He doesn’t mean it, no
His kisses are hot
His touch electrifying
You fall in love
And then he starts lying!

Baby Blue, Baby Blue
Now listen to me
This you gonna do
Just turn around
Leave this guy alone
It ain’t the place for you
Honey go home!

No, girl, this honky-tonk
It ain’t the place for you
Honey go home!
