Lyrics

In the Garden – Mark J. Nyvlt

V 1: The morning mist lifts so slowly
– Sunlight pours its secrets o’er this garden’s story.
V 2: The dancing petals, the shimmering leaves
– Played like a chorus, as the sun shines on last year’s foliage.

CHORUS: Then the wind sang a melody of old. But, the wind can’t move stone – In the garden.

BRIDGE: The snakes, they slither; the mice, they quiver; the squirrels, scurry; humming birds, flurry at the speed of the garden.

V 3: In the early evening as the sun sets – This garden rests.
V 4: The mist returns to blanket her home – The moonlight shines on all, even the stone.
