Bio

LARRY CRAIG – BIO
Larry Craig has spent a lifetime in music, singing professionally since he was 16 years old. Born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, Larry showed his talents at an early age and was heavily influenced by the music of the church and the Motown sound. He came to faith in Christ as a teenager – at 16 he was singing in local clubs and at 18 he joined a gospel quartet. Throughout the 1980’s and the 1990’s, Larry was a member of the contemporary gospel group Proverbs Ministry and worked with some of the leading names in contemporary gospel music, including Bebe and Cece Winans, Tremaine Hawkins, Esther Smith and others.
Feeling a call from God in his heart for a deeper involvement in ministry, Larry was ordained an elder in his church The Straight Gate Ministry in Detroit Michigan, and is now a minister of the gospel. In 2000 Larry’s wife of 27 years, Laverne, passed away after a long illness, leaving behind Larry and their three children. After a deep and continuous time of prayer, Larry felt a call from God to take his music ministry to a higher level. He began writing songs that depicted his life experiences, enhancing his perspective on life. Being remarried to his current wife Kathy, he has invested himself into the songwriting aspect of music, and is excited about the new music that has come from his pen.
Larry now attends Mt. Zion Temple in Clarkston, Michigan and is looking forward to bringing a new flavor and sound to the music scene.

Lyrics

I APOLOGIZE
Verse 1
If I hurt someone
By something I said, I apologize,
If I inadvertently,
Stand in some ones way, I apologize; ,
And if I should make, someone stumble or fall,
Forgive me for all, the pain I’ve caused,
I, oh I; I, oh I apologize;
Verse 2
I’ll make amends
To you my friend, for all the wrong I’ve done,
Fall on my knees,
And ask you to please help me to overcome,
And then when……, it’ll be all over,
A load will surely, be lifted off my shoulder,
I, oh I; I, oh I apologize;
Bridge:
I realized that I’ve done wrong,
I asked God to please
help me stay strong,
By giving me courage
Courage cancels worry,
Don’t let me be blinded by my pride;
Verse 3
I’m glad so glad, that you didn’t stay mad
Despite all the bad things I said,
Yet it’s sad so sad,
That this ever ever had, to end this way,
Sorrow fills up, all of my soul,
From the top of my head, down to the tip of my toes,
I, oh I, I, oh I apologize;
I APOLOGIZE
