Description

While traveling throughout the USA to move to Los Angeles in pursuit my dream of being a singer/songwriter, I was lonely for my friends and family

Bio

I’ve been making music since my teens – started with singing, then picked up keyboards and synths. In 1978, I headed to Los Angeles to pursue music seriously. Worked at this amazing place called Great American Food and Beverage Company in Santa Monica as a singing waiter – everyone there was a musician, and quite a few went on to become well-known. I spent the next few years touring the West Coast of the US and Hawaii, playing both original songs and covers. Eventually, the musician’s life lost its charm, so I settled down, started a family, and returned to my first career in graphic design. Now here I am at 70, rediscovering my love for music and recording again.

Lyrics

Home Again in my Dreams

Though I may be just a city boy
Used to monuments of steel
The land I see in front of me
Is a gift that seems unreal
But I’ve been driving by myself for weeks now
And I feel all alone
That’s when my oh so weary head
Hits the pillow of a bed
And I’ll go home again in my dreams

I’ll lay me down
Alone, or so it seems
But I’ll go home again in my dreams

Well I’m not sure of my future
It’s my first time on the road
And though the scenery astounds me
I’m still carrying a heavy load
For purple mountains majesty
From sea to shining sea
Won’t ever fully erase
A kind of feeling out of place
So I’ll go home again in my dreams

I’ll lay me down
Alone, or so it seems
But I’ll go home again in my dreams

I don’t think the I’m complaining
I know I’ve been heaven blessed
To be traveling with Mother Nature
From the east coast to the west
But my stomach still feels empty
‘Cause I hunger for my friends
So when I turn out the light
And lay my head down for the night
I’ll go home again in my dreams

I’ll lay me down
Alone, or so it seems
But I’ll go home again in my dreams
