Bio

Elizabeth Bernardini. I am Irish Italian, from a small town in Maryland ~ Catonsville. Professional name is Elizabeth B, a shorter version of my last name, since it can be a little bit of a mouthful to pronounce. I’ve been writing songs since 2015; and learned how to play the guitar at the same time.

“My inspiration has been my grand baby twins, Brooke and Jack.” When the twins were born, I wrote my first song – Brooke and Jack. The song, Brooke and Jack, it’s about encouraging positivity, no fighting, no hating for children, family love, music, and playing outside.

I write Country Folk and Blues. Stories from the heart; emotionally driven by personal experiences, life, family, faith and love vibrations. When I write, I don’t say ok I am writing a specific genre, I allow my mood to dictate how the song is going to evolve and sound.” The places I’ve been, the people I have met and my family are the influence to the songs I write. Growing up I listened to top 40, Rhythm and Blues, Rock and Roll, Stevie Nicks – Fleetwood Mac, Eagles, Steve Miller, Carpenters, Reba, Cher, Fats Domino, Motown, and Michael Jackson. My step dad would play music on his reel to reel the big bands, Elvis Presley, Doris Day, Frank Sinatra, Sammie Davis Jr. everyone in the family enjoyed dads music. Music is a part of life I think for everyone.

I would play my music and dance in the “playroom” of the family home. What is stimulating to me is when a song I’ve written makes someone feel good, and they share they’ve been through a similar situation, this makes me feel good. I do a lot of writing, sometimes in the middle of the night, or when I’m driving; I’ll pull over on the side of the road and write down a few thoughts, pull my guitar out and play a few chords to fit the emotion I am feeling with the words. There are amazing Artists who stimulate and inspire me.

In addition to writing music, I made my first song into a children’s book based on the song Brooke and Jack; Brooke and Jack’s Adventures. I enjoy acting, and being on set, taking acting classes photo journaling and writing my book.

I play at many open mics. I have driven to open mics in the many states and along Route 66, and my home town, or wherever I’m at. In fact I’ve driven to California ten times. My CD, A Journey Home, is on Apple Music and Spotify, all the social media platforms. So my traveling has been to promote my music. I guess you could say, I believe in my songs, and I love to share!

Lyrics

Hangovers & Saturday Nights
November 1 2023 96 BPM
Sitting in a bar
Waiting to play
Can feel his eyes looking at me
Worried stressed, and looking lonely
A story written on his face (relate)

I smile and give a gesture,
One he rightly oblige
Want to walk up and ask him his story
But his friends are trying to get him high

A shallow smile
A glance to the ground
As the singers play their songs
On hangovers and Saturday nights
On Saturdays and hangover nights x2

Smoked filled rooms and conversation
Old school melodies play
Bartenders asking what can I get ya?
Mmmm, you say not for me today

My pockets tight and kinda empty (yea, yea, yea)
Waiting on a horseshoe to walk my way
Faith’s the name and here’s the question
What do I want and what does it take?

A shallow smile
A glance to the ground
As the singers play their songs
On hangovers and Saturday nights

On hangovers and Saturday nights
On hangovers and Saturday nights
