Bio

I began playing music at the age of five as the drummer in my father’s band. As I got older, I began to play drums for other acts. At the age of 20, I began playing the pedal steel guitar, having never taken a lesson in my life. Along with my sister, I began working with the Loretta Lynn Show and later moved to Nashville where I worked on the road for many stars. I have played with such notable acts as Gary Stewart, Johnny Paycheck, George Jones, Kitty Wells, Hank Thompson, Johnny Bush, and a host of others.

Going Up on Blue Mountain

Chorus
I’m going up on Blue Mountain to be alone
Thinking of the memories I made with you
I’m so lonely since God called you home
Gonna sit here with you all alone

When we first met I fell in love with you
You were so pretty in that dress of blue
I never thought you’d ever fall for me
I thought it was too good to be

Taking walks through those old back woods
I carved your name in a dogwood tree
You squeezed my hand a little tighter
As we walked across that old rocky creek

Repeat Chorus
I think of all the years that’ve gone by
You were always there by my side
I thank God he sent you to me
One day we’ll be together again
In God’s kingdom for eternity

Now that all these years have gone by
God called you home to be by his side
I’m so lonely since God called you home
So I climb up on Blue Mountain to be alone

Repeat Chorus
