Lyrics

Feels Bad to Feel Good
by Carol Lester

I feel sad
when I come home
The lights are off
I’m all alone
Oh I think another drink
might flip me in (to?)
a better blood

But it feels bad
it feels bad
to feel good
It feels bad to feel good

Every day (so many days?)
before the sun went down
We’d hold hands
and talk
and walk around this town
I miss your touch
and the Me you understood

Cause it feels bad
It feels bad
to feel good
It feels bad to feel good

I know you’re wandering free
across the universe
But don’t forget about me
I’m still down here on earth
You made me promise I’d be happy
you know I would if I could
But I feel bad
It’s too soon

Oh I wish you coulda seen
the perfection of today
and I’d trade most anything
to have you back with me

I know you’re wandering free
across the universe
But don’t forget about me
I’m still down here on earth
You made me promise I’d be happy
you know I would if I could
But I feel bad

It’s too soon
I feel bad
It feels bad to feel good

If I held on to you but I lose myself I might lose you too
We could turn back time and you could come back
we could fight this thing and you could win it
I want you in it

It feels bad to feel good
