Description
The genesis of “Eat Less / Move More” began with guitarist Simon Brindle, who, contemplating his 50th birthday, envisioned the song’s opening verse and chorus. The song truly came alive, however, during live performances when PlasticSole encouraged fans to join in the chant, transforming the song into a shared experience.

Press Quotes
– “I really wanted to play that, because I’m not sure how I can put my finger on that best, because it kind of starts off sounding like a bit Razorlightesque, with that sort of beginning hook that draws you in, but then when you get further in points of that track it feels like a melody of something like The Strokes would make, it gets heavier and heavier as it goes along” – BBC Introducing

Lyrics
EAT LESS / MOVE MORE
I’ve reached that time of life
You know what I’m talking about
Got to worry about cholesterol
And middle-aged spread
So I went to my doctor
Asked him what should I do
He looked me up and down
And do you know what he said?
He said
Eat Less; move more (repeat)
So I went to a Physio
You know, to get some advice
I’m aching all over
When I get out of my bed
She prodded and poked me
pulled me this way and that
Then sat back in her chair
do y’know what she said?
She said
Eat Less; move more (repeat)
I’ve been seen by the Chemist
You know, as a last ditch attempt,
To sort out my memory and
What goes on in my head
But I now can’t remember
What they told me to do
Except for one thing –
The last thing that they said
They said
Eat Less; move more (repeat)
I’ve reached that time of life
You know what I’m talking about
Got to worry about cholesterol
And middle-aged spread
So I went to my doctor
Asked him what should I do
He looked me up and down
And do you know what he said?
He said
