Lyrics

Daddy’s Calloused Hands
By Judy Quan

He held his tiny baby
In daddy’s calloused hands
Rough and sunburned, hardened
From working in the sun
Hands that built the buildings
Now held his tiny son
Who wouldn’t see tomorrow
When this day on earth was done

CHORUS
Tomorrow he’d be singing
With angel bands on high
Today he slept in daddy’s hands
While loved ones said goodbye
His tiny, tiny body filled one of daddy’s hands
While tears from daddy bathed him
In Daddy’s calloused hand

V2
His sisters came to see him
Dressed in their Sunday best
They stroked his head and kissed his little feet
They beamed with pride and loved him,
With God’s own perfect love
With kisses, tears and sadness they sent him on Above
