Bio

Chris is a Toronto-based singer-songwriter with a repertoire of original songs in a “bluesy alt-rock/power pop” vein. “Beelzebub Kiss (Instrumental)” was featured in the Canadian short horror film, Fishbowl (2022). Chris alternates between performing solo acoustically, in an acoustic duo, and as the frontman for North Star 90, a ‘90s rock covers band who performed at the CNE in Toronto in 2024.

Lyrics

Old street slip down
Suburbia lane
The sepia sunlight
On a window pane
A smoke fuelled room
From a flickering flame
All high mind aglow
Before the big fade

We were cuttin’ out
And comin’ down
We were cool on a cloud
We were cool on a cloud

In that heavenly haze
On the edge of unclear
You seemed so sure in your way
You said I was easy to steer
But worlds change
And glory days wane
You got burned on that phase
In a mid-teen malaise

We were cuttin’ out
And comin’ down
We were cool on a cloud
We were cool on a cloud

We went off on their tracks
With the cards all stacked
In a do-over dream I can take it back

We were cuttin’ out
And comin’ down
We were cool on a cloud
We were cool on a cloud
We were cool on a cloud
We were cool on a cloud
