Bio

Lyrics

Coco Chanel Mademoiselle

I was born on a Celtic morn,
In the shadow of The Bomb.
Cresta soda and Angel Delight,
Chronically sweet,
Tartrazine bright.

Then I paid my dues in Doc Martin shoes,
And my Levi 501s.
You were a stripy tights girl with her life in a whirl,
Paint splattered boots
And a perfect kiss curl.

It seemed to last forever,
You and me together,
Climbing up that mountain,
Bathing in the fountain of love.

Bathing in the fountain of love,
Bathing in the fountain of love.

And I arrived on the southeast side,
With my future unconfined.
With a Dunns River Nourishment in my hand,
Giving no thought
To where my heart would land.

Then I sang the blues,
In my desert suede shoes
And my olive cargo pants.
You were a Coco Chanel Mademoiselle,
Camden reborn with a tale to tell.

You and me together,
It seemed to last forever,
Dancing in the fountain,
Our carefree days were counting right down.

Now here I am, still without a plan,
In the shadow of the bomb.
Blended scotch and an Apple watch,
Denying my fate,
Watching my weight.

So, I search for clues and a sexy new muse,
Before my day is done.
Every instance of you,
Every memory too,
Is numbed from the pain
of a right to complain.

It seemed to last forever,
You and me together,
Climbing up that mountain,
Bathing in the fountain of love.
