Bio
I’m fairly new to songwriting. My previous profession was as a musical theater actor in Washington D.C. and New York City. I was in the original cast of Les Miserables on Broadway. My experience as an actor/singer prepared me well to transition to songwriting as I’ve found that most of the work and preparation that goes into SINGING a song, also goes into WRITING a song.
The nights growing colder, the fire is smoldering
Darkness descends on my soul
Where a seed lies waiting for the golden cascading
of sunlight to help it to grow
Faces softly aglow by the candle each of us holds
In a place where the warmth never ends
Here in this Circle of Friends
The moon waxes steely, stars so unfeeling
I’m losing my faith in the dawn
Though this fear goes unspoken that all circuits are broken
There’s proof that a light remains on, in the
Faces softly aglow by the candle each of us holds
In a place where the warmth never ends
Here in this Circle of Friends
The nights growing colder and I’m one year older
This longest night of the year
Where a glimmer of kindness is the shimmer that binds us
Together a dawn will appear, in the
Faces sweetly aglow by the candle each of us holds
In a place where the warmth never ends
