Louis Adam – piano and guitar

Description
I seem to remember wanting to write about dissatisfaction with modern life and with cities in particular; and a desire for change. I’m not sure if that is what comes across!
Bio
I’ve been writing songs since doing my paper round in the 60s (as a way of easing the monotony). When my son took an interest in music we collaborated on a number of songs, recording about 30 or so in the garden shed and I’ve done several alone. I’m not a competent musician and certainly not a performer but I can play enough to get a song across.
Lyrics
Ariane
Time, History, Ariane
Crime, Liberty, Ariane, This is Ariane.
Toujour c’est rien.
I don’t wanna sleep,
I don’t wanna go to sleep and dream,
Dreaming’s not for keeps,
And only Dreamers dream.
Standing on the street,
Where the lights turn red and green,
There I’ll find my feet,
And there I’ll be redeemed,
This is Ariane.
Waiting for the train to come,
Waiting for the moment of release,
Waiting for the tide to turn,
Waiting for a minute,
Waiting for Ariane,
Waiting for the Prince of Peace,
Waiting for another year,
Or just a minute.
Living in the past,
Waiting for the underground,
Nothing ever lasts,
Numbers going down.
Get a bit of class,
Gather up the blue and brown,
Taking on the task,
Moving to the sound,
This is Ariane.
Can you hear me now, can you feel the rain?
Wrap yourself around me like a child in pain.
Do you fear the future, do you feel the same?
