Mister Mirror
When I saw the subject for this month's challenge, my first thought was about reflections in a mirror, then started imagining that the mirror had a memory and could remember things about the past. At this point I thought I'd best lay off the alcohol and write down some thoughts.
This is how they turned out. Lyrics will be added in the comments field
Lyrics
Mister Mirror
Guess you know me
Seen my happy seen my fears
Seen the good times
And the heartache and the tears
I’d like to know just what you’re thinking
As you watched me down the years
Seen me as a young man
Heading out upon the town
Looking so excited
Just to see what’s going down
And you saw me as I came home
And I’m sure I made you frown
Mister Mirror staring blindly
At the paper on my wall
Mister Mirror hanging proudly
As you watch me down the hall
But Mister Mirror do you really see me at all
Now there’s just an old man
And he’s staring back at me
Searching for the memories
No one else could ever see
But I guess you saw him coming
And you ain’t surprised like me
Mister Mirror staring blindly
At the paper on my wall
Mister Mirror hanging proudly
As you watch me down the hall
But Mister Mirror do you really see me at all
Great song – I love the line about “guess you saw him coming”

Hi Huw, I commented on the Facebook page, but just to say what a great song this is. You certainly put your all into it. Cheers, Phil
Nice one, Huw, some great lines, as usual!
Cheers Ian. Really appreciate it. I’ve been a bit busy this month so haven’t listened to many other songs as of yet and I see you’ve entered one so hopefully get to listen to yours and others over the next couple of days
Brilliant song Huw, great theme interwoven throughout, and you coordinate all of that instrumentation & voice so effortlessly. I have to admit to watching it a few times as kept getting distracted at that magnificent display on the wall behind you.
