This is great. It has drive a passion. What a great performance as well.
The musical / performance angst is palpable which sets really well against those lyrics. Really interesting response to the challenge which I suspect will set it apart from the rest (that’s a good thing).
As I mentioned on Facebook, Mike, there’s some real drama & darkness in your song. Cleverly constructed lyrics & a powerful arrangement. The image of pulling down gods from their thrones with strong fingers is a very effective one. I’m always one for construction rather than destruction but I think it’s worthwhile appreciating the motives behind those who want to pull it all down & start again.
