Description

I hope the song works on different levels, but I wrote it about my mother who is at the end of her life and receiving palliative care. You can never say I love you too many times.

The song could also be about getting lazy and taking our loved ones for granted – just takes a second to say I love you,

Bio

I have written hundreds of songs over too many year – maybe recorded fifty (thinking that I might be the most prolific unpublished songwriter out there) but I can’t give it up. I tried once when my children were small, but it made me really miserable. Writing songs makes me happy.

Lyrics

Three Little Words
Music and words by Warren Cole

Verse 1
There’s a voice in my head,
and it’s telling me, these three little words that need to be said
Just say I love you, and say it again
Because time waits for no one – don’t make the same mistake my friend

Chorus
Know that I love you forever
Love you even more when we’re apart
Nothing can break the bond that we have
You’re a wonderful bright shining star
When someone says
The three little words we all need to here
It will stay with you forever more – for life
a life without fear

Verse 2
There’s a song in your heart
I know it’s beautiful I want to hear it all from the start
So move in closer and sing me that song that I’ve never heard
A glimpse of heaven, the power of those three little words

Chorus
Know that I love you forever
Love you even more when we’re apart
Nothing can break the bond that we have
You’re a wonderful bright shining star
When someone says
The three little words we all need to here
It will stay with you forever more – for life
a life without fear

Middle
Love
It’s love
This is love
Only love
Outro
Hear my voice in your head
I’m just reminding you of the three little words that need to be said
