I felt I had music in me but never tried to develop really into music, but felt I had talent.
Lyrics
Verse 1 My heart found dead on arrival, Thought love would be a sweet survival. I should’ve known better than to chase a dream, Built on a feeling, not what it seems. We had our moments, thought love was in the air, But now I see the truth, it’s just not fair.
Pre-Chorus I lost everything over loving you, Wished I could show you what my heart could do. Open my soul, let you see the light, But fear held me back, kept me up at night.
Chorus I tell you how I feel, but it comes on too strong, Apologies for loving you, it feels so wrong. Hope you find what you’re looking for, Now I know I’m not the one you adore. My heart found dead on arrival, Thought we had chemistry, but -damn, I was wrong.
Verse 2 I wanted to share every piece of my heart, But you turned away, tearing me apart. The words I spoke, they fell on deaf ears, Now I’m left drowning in my own tears. Couldn’t take the chance of you walking away, Never knowing the love I had for you each day.
Bridge So here’s my goodbye, I’ll let you go free, With every heartbeat, I’ll learn to be me. No more chasing dreams that aren’t meant to be, I’ll mend my heart, find a way to be free.
Outro My heart found dead on arrival, Lessons learned in this love survival. I’ll pick up the pieces, start anew, And maybe one day, I’ll find love that’s true.
